Let’s begin:

Why a Mobile Prosthetic Service is an Important Service for Oklahomans

Celeirty Prosthetics is incredibly proud to be able to offer our mobile prosthetic care service throughout Oklahoma.

Oftentimes, prosthetic patients may have travel limitations. Travel can be difficult, impractical, or impossible—particularly for new patients who are still in the adjustment phase. However, we visit all kinds of different patients throughout Oklahoma, both young and old, both “new” to prosthetics and old-hats. As we’ll discuss later in this article, our mobile prosthetic service is for everyone who needs it.

To eliminate the problem of travel restrictions for prosthetic patients, Celerity Prosthetics in Oklahoma City created our mobile prosthetic service to provide full mobility services, support, and products to those patients who need them.

Is Celerity’s Mobile Prosthetic Service All-Inclusive?

Generally speaking, yes—we consider our mobile prosthetic service to offer full mobility services, support, and products.

While it’s easier to respond to unexpected circumstances at our fully equipped facility in Oklahoma City, our mobile prosthetic service can, under normal circumstances, provide you with the same level of service you would expect had you actually visited our facility. This is largely thanks to the fact that our mobile prosthetic service in Oklahoma is available by appointment.

While making your appointment, you’ll speak with a friendly member of our staff who will help determine what you need help with. This will help our mobile staff understand what kind of equipment and products they may need to bring with them for your session. Once we’ve gathered all the information we need to make your mobile prosthetics appointment a success, we’ll set a date and time which is as convenient as possible for you.

What Kind of Locations Does the Celerity Prosthetics Mobile Service Visit? (Residences, Rehabilitation Facilities, etc.)

The Celerity Prosthetics mobile prosthetics care service will essentially come to you no matter where you are in our service area.

Typically, our mobile prosthetics service visits our patients at their homes, nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals. There have even been occasions where we’ve visited our patients in hotels after they returned to the area to see us.

If you’re at all concerned that we might not be able to reach your location (such as might be the case with patients living in very rural or otherwise hard-to-reach areas), please let our staff know when calling to set your appointment and we’ll do everything in our power to make sure that you can get the prosthetic care you need in a timely manner.

Is Anyone Eligible to Receive Mobile Prosthetic Services?

Yes! While of course we would ask our patients without travel limitations to simply visit our comfortable facility, we understand that this isn’t always possible. Anyone may request mobile prosthetic services from Celerity and expect to receive the same professional care.

If you’re still in the early stages of getting a prosthetic device, you may already know that among the first steps in the process is having a prosthetic examination with a member of our certified staff at Celerity. This initial examination can take place with our mobile prosthetic service.

Can Maintenance and/or Repairs Be Done on a Mobile Prosthetics Visit?

It depends on the nature of the maintenance or repair required, but generally speaking, yes, our team can help with prosthetic maintenance or repairs during a mobile visit to your location.

At Celerity, we pride ourselves on our rigorous maintenance and repair inspection service. We begin by inspecting the prosthetic in detail, testing all components, and communicating with the patient about their experience and expectations. After this process of discovery, our certified team makes adjustments or replacements as necessary to the prosthetic. Finally, we test the prosthetic device to make sure that a full range of motion is available to the patient.

As involved as this process is, it’s generally possible to complete it during a mobile prosthetics visit. In some cases, as we noted above, unexpected circumstances may arise and we may have to return or arrange for the prosthetic to be brought to our facility, but these situations are relatively rare.

Much of the success of a maintenance or repair mobile prosthetic service visit will depend on the accuracy of information we receive while the patient or their carer was setting the appointment. Please always feel encouraged to provide us with as much detail as possible when we talk, as this can make the mobile visit appointment go as smoothly as possible.
